This evening was the weekly local market just 15 minute drive outside of Ban Tathit.

I had the pleasure of indulging in the strange and unusual!

As well as a delicious bubble tea, battered chicken butt (hey, don’t knock it till you try it… Lots of good fatty flavour!) and some barbequed crickets…

I also got this fantastically flavoursome pork-on-a-stick thing. It was so tasty that I’m afraid I scoffed the lot before stopping to get a picture- a frequent foodie trap I keep falling into here in Thailand! It was as though they had taken a very fatty part and beaten it flat into a mouth meltingly tender barbeque dream. I will get 10 more next week.
